Employment Guarantee Scheme

Employment Guarantee scheme was started in Maharashtra in 1972.

The main objective of the scheme is to provide guaranteeing employment to all adult persons who volunteer to do unskilled manual work in rural areas, which would bring in to being durable assets for the benefit of the community and the economy.
